I've always been an eco aware person. When my life changed through doctor error, the physical therapists used different yoga techniques to help me to be able to walk. My favorite was doing planks because all of my muscles got exercise even though I couldn't feel or use the muscles of my left leg. Ultimately though, I found myself unable to walk, in extreme pain and needing to earn a living.
That's when I decided to go to school on the web and learn a new profession. I was going to build a web site! They said to pick something I knew about, and at the time, all I knew was yoga and pain. My whole life I have been spiritual, metaphysical, did meditation and exercised in nature mostly. But now yoga was a big part of my life. So it was a yoga web site I decided to build. Of course I wanted to carry eco friendly yoga products, though at the time they were harder to find.
Little by little I learned more and more as my web site developed. I added products and removed products, always trying to fine tune it to what was good for people and our planet. Slowly my product list grew to include eco products for your home, your family and your life. As I chose products, I started learning and the more I learned, the more I wanted to educate others.
I was happy to see that there is a demand for guided meditation, meditation music and exercise DVDs and am glad to finally be adding them because they are good for the soul.
Well, here it goes, my summation of what needs to happen, sooner than later....
Now is the time for each of us, as individuals, to take mass control of the choices we make and to notice how each choice impacts the environment. Where you live, how and what you eat, buy, travel and what organizations you support, each an individual choice, each having a global impact. The more of us there are, the bigger the impact. So, if you haven't already, start now!
The greatest threats to our future resources come from the by-products of what we use today and the choices we make about them.
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), is dangerous to the health of all living creatures and to the environment. Throughout its entire life cycle it releases harmful toxins into the environment. By using a product made with PVC, you get the toxins inside you through touch osmosis and by breathing in the toxins because of such close proximity. In our landfills, PVC and other toxins eventually reach our groundwater system.

It is possible to protect the health and the environment of all living things by replacing this poison plastic entirely.And even then, how long will we be left with the poisonous effects of PVC?
